This weekend was my very first dumpster dive in Wilmington, NC!
Here’s a list of the loot:
- 2 large carrots
- 3 large and 2 small cucumbers
- A TON of kale and chard and a few random bits of other hearty leafy greens
- 1 large head of leaf lettuce
- 1 head of iceburg lettuce
- 1 package of that Live Lettuce stuff with the roots (why not just grow your own?)
- 1 eggplant (Janae’s spectacular find)
- 2 gala apples
- 1 bunch of celery
- 2 packages of baby red potatoes
- 1 large green bell pepper
- several bags of bean sprouts (these may not be any good, haven’t investigated yet)
Oh, and Janae found a huge potted poinsettia and couldn’t leave without it, but it was pretty messed up so we ended up dumping it and repurposing the pot as a trashcan.
